JPD introduces new crime fighting tools

JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson police showed off their newest crime fighting tools Thursday.

Star Chase equipped the vehicles with new technology. They said will allow officers to eliminate high-speed chases.

Jackson is the first in the state to use the new technology, but it’s not exclusive. Star Chase said neighboring agencies are able to use the mapping process to help find the criminals if they’ve moved into their area.
