Job Description
StarChase continues to expand and is looking for former LE leaders interested in contributing to our unprecedented growth and success. The ideal candidate must have a significant amount of law enforcement experience (preferably command staff / leadership role, FBINAA graduate or equivalent, i.e. SMIP, POST Command College). This is a remote position for anyone outside the immediate area of our HQ in Virginia Beach, VA. The Business Development Manager (BDM) is directly responsible for identifying and generating new LE agency opportunities, providing timely responses to incoming LE leads, building and maintaining agency relationships, developing strategic growth plans for their respective territory, conducting agency research, and collaborating with existing BDM team members to achieve company sales and revenue goals by actively networking and building relationships. StarChase BDMs are key players in driving company expansion and profitability. This is considered a 'tip of the spear' position.
Key responsibilities
• Identifying new agency opportunities: Researching potential agency customers, identifying and generating sales prospects.
• Client relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential agencies through regular communication and engagement with existing Account Relations Managers (ARMs).
• Sales strategy development: Creating and executing strategic sales plans to target new and existing agency customers.
• Business proposals / presentations / demonstrations: Deliver compelling presentations, proposals and demonstrations of our life-saving products and services to prospective agency clients.
• Partner collaboration: Collaborating with marketing, IT and other departments to align business development strategies and achieve goals.
• Lead generation: Actively prospecting for new leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events and tradeshows.
• Sales pipeline management: Tracking and managing the sales pipeline to ensure an abundance of opportunities and timely closure of deals.
• Reporting and analysis: Monitoring sales performance, analyzing data, and providing insights to inform strategic decisions.
Required skills for a Business Development Manager
• Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication to effectively present proposals and build relationships with clients.
• Networking abilities: Ability to build and leverage professional networks to identify new business opportunities.
• Well versed in LE policies, pursuit mitigation, LPR, RTCC’s and other crime-recognition tools and national trends.
• Sales acumen: Deep understanding of sales processes, techniques, and the sales cycle. Those with little to no experience will be evaluated for capability of learning and executing these crucial functions on an individual case basis.
• Market knowledge: Expertise in the industry, market trends, and ability to provide detailed analysis.
• Negotiation skills: Confidence in negotiating contracts and pricing with clients.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies.
• Project management skills: Effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Description
We are seeking a Fractional Social Media Manager with proven experience in public safety communications and public relations to oversee, plan, and execute digital communication strategies that inform, engage, and build trust with the target community. This individual will work closely with leadership, communications, and field teams to ensure timely, accurate, and responsible information sharing across all digital channels/platforms.
The ideal candidate has a background in law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, or municipal communications, combined with expertise in digital storytelling, crisis communication, and reputation management.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience in social media management, digital communications, or public relations, preferably in a public safety, government, or community-facing organization.
• Strong understanding of crisis communication, media relations, and reputational risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to craft clear, credible, and empathetic messaging during sensitive or high-stakes situations.
• Proficient with social media management tools (e.g., SemRush, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, Meta Business Suite) and analytics platforms.
• Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
• Familiarity with public information regulations, such as FOIA, and citizen rights advocates such as the ACLU

Additional Responsibilities
• Develop and manage social media strategy to align with organizational goals, outreach campaigns, and emergency communication protocols.
• Create and schedule compelling, mission-aligned content (copy, visuals, video) for platforms such as Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Nextdoor.
• Monitor channels using platforms like SemRush to monitor community feedback, emerging issues, and misinformation, ensuring prompt, accurate responses that reflect organizational values and tone.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support media relations, public education, and incident communications, including proactive and reactive messaging.
• Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics, engagement trends, and audience growth to inform and make strategic adjustments.
• Provide guidance and training to internal staff on best practices for social media use and digital communication.
• Stay current with platform trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices in public sector communication.

Job Description
We are seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer with electrical certifications to design, code, and build embedded systems that support OTA updates, GPS functionality, and reliable field deployment. This role blends low-level embedded coding with hands-on electrical engineering to deliver secure, updatable, and location-aware products used in real-world environments.
Responsibilities
• Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems
• Design, implement, and maintain OTA update mechanisms, including bootloaders and fail-safe recovery
• Integrate GPS modules and protocols (NMEA, GNSS) into embedded systems
• Interface firmware with electrical components such as power systems, sensors, and communication modules
• Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and fault isolation using lab equipment
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to ensure reliable hardware–software integration
• Support certification, compliance testing, and production readiness
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Active electrical certification (PE – Electrical, CEE, or equivalent)

Job Description
The Product Installation and Support Technician will provide technical and installation support of StarChase products into law enforcement vehicles. The role requires the candidate be able to follow technical instructions, perform functionality testing, preparing product and installation components for shipment, supporting returned or warranty products, onsite product installation, troubleshooting and repair. This is a full-time position, with an estimation of up to 75% travel. The position is based in the corporate offices in Virginia Beach, VA and reports to the Service & Installation Manager.
Responsibilities
• Installation of product into law enforcement vehicles
• Assist in cross-training 3rd party installation representatives on install and operation of the technology
• In field product support, diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, while working closely with local agency points of contacts
• Work with Territory Sales and Support team to facilitate installations
• Work with Service & Delivery and engineering staff to support other aspect of product deployment
• Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and best practices
• Receive and inspect returned systems for warranty or refurbishment
• Receive and field warranty issues, troubleshoot/repair for reinstallation of units
• Document product installations, servicing, and support efforts
• Gain product knowledge and installation procedures through mentoring provided by supervisors and management

The position provides technical support, quality control and assembly support to meet specifications within the StarChase manufacturing department. This entails following technical instructions, testing functionality, and supporting returned or broken/defective products, and troubleshooting/repair. This is a full-time position with benefits. • Perform final quality control test of finished product, utilizing industry standard documentation.
• Perform assembly and testing of product as needed to meet production demands.
• Maintain daily production logs
• Clean and maintain work area. Turn off and lock up equipment when not in use
• Identify risk mitigation actions and risks
• Provide product support, diagnose and resolve technical issues, working closely with “Product Installation and Support” on trouble shooting
• Work closely with CTO and engineering staff to reduce cost in parts and assembly methods through testing and design
• Support the CTO and engineering in product development as needed
• Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and good manufacturing practices
• Facilitates training with production staff
