Fleeing stolen truck goes airborne into Lander Circle, skips across Waterway: Moreland Hills Police Blotter

The truck, listed as stolen out of Painesville, then struck multiple vacuum towers, a pole and finally a retaining wall at the car wash and gas station, leaving the driver briefly unconscious and bleeding from a head injury.

A patrol officer parked at Chagrin River Road saw a westbound 2019 Dodge Ram drive past with what appeared to be fresh collision damage to the passenger side around 9:40 p.m. Nov. 8. The officer started to follow the erratic driver.

Said driver, no age or address given, ignored the cruiser’s flashers and sirens as they were activated for a traffic stop near Orange High School. The suspect accelerated to an estimated 80 mph and headed into Pepper Pike and Lander Circle.
