Driver dies after leading San Antonio police on chase, crashing into trees

A man died after leading police on a high-speed chase and crashing into a fence and trees Sunday morning on the Northeast Side.
Police say the chase began at the intersection of the northbound access road of Interstate 35 and Toepperwein Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. The chase ended less than two miles away, in the 15000 block of Toepperwein Road.
