Maryland murder suspect waiting extradition after weekend chase in Mcintosh County led to his arrest

MCINTOSH COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – A murder suspect remains in custody, awaiting for extradition back to Maryland after a high speed chase with local authorities led to his arrest.
The chase began in McIntosh County Saturday night and ended when the suspect, Timothy Patrick Callanan, 26, wrecked his car in Liberty County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Callanan’s car ran a stop sign which led to the chase involving Darien Police officers, and McIntosh County Sheriff’s deputies.
