Driver arrested following police chase which ended in crash

A driver has been arrested following a dramatic police chase in North Somerset which ended in a crash. A photograph from the scene appears to show the back of a police car and the front of the driver’s vehicle severely damaged.
Avon and Somerset Police’s road safety team said the motorist had been disqualified from driving last week.
A police officer spotted the vehicle in Portishead on Friday night (August 14). The driver, who had just reportedly committed a theft, fled the scene when approached by police.
