An attempted traffic stop in Vacaville led to pursuit, crash, flames

An attempt to stop a stolen vehicle in Vacaville Friday erupted in chaos involving a vehicle chase, crash, foot pursuit and flames.
It all started around 4 p.m. when police received an alert of a stolen Lexus in the area of Browns Valley Road.
An officer spotted the car at Callen Street and E. Monte Vista Avenue. As he got behind it, the motorist sped off, officials said, winding its way up Browns Valley Road onto Shelton Lane.
