3 killed in Alabama crash: Driver fleeing police hits teacher, her mom

It is with great sadness that the Thomasville City Schools District announces the passing of teacher Megan Brunson.

A suspect attempting to escape from police in south Alabama on Friday night died after colliding head-on with another vehicle, leaving a young teacher and her mother dead.

Alabama state troopers said the collision occurred just before 10 p.m. when Christopher Ryan Pritchett, 36, of Thomasville in Clarke County was fleeing from Thomasville police southbound on U.S. 43. Pritchett’s 2009 Cadillac CTS crossed the median and collided with 2016 Nissan Rogue, which was traveling northbound.
