TWO MEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING 100 MPH CHASE THAT INJURED TROOPER, SHUT DOWN INTERSTATE 15

INKOM — An Idaho State Police trooper was injured late Monday morning during a high-speed chase that resulted in Interstate 15 being temporarily shut down near this Bannock County town.

Authorities reported that two people in the vehicle being chased were arrested when the pursuit ended on Interstate 15 just south of Inkom around 11:55 a.m.

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office identified the two individuals as Dillon Mehling, 28, and James Miller, 48, both of Billings, Montana. Miller and Mehling are each facing one felony count of meth trafficking and are being held without bond at the Bannock County Jail. The maximum punishment for meth trafficking is life in prison and a $100,000 fine.
