Scott County man’s truck goes airborne during police chase, crashes into Airbnb

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – People sleeping in an Airbnb in Scott County had a rude awakening overnight when a truck crashed into the home, ending a police chase.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says deputies noticed a suspicious truck parked at Rural King.  The deputies say they found Jesse Deskins, of Georgetown, slumped over the wheel.

When a deputy knocked on the truck’s window, Deskins came to, put the truck in gear and sped off, nearly hitting the deputy, according to investigators. Read more here

Police Officers Use StarChase GPS Tag to Get Drunk Driver Off The Road

21-882 Police officers observed a vehicle swerving all over the road and nearly running into other vehicles. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the swerving vehicle failed to yield. Officers were able to successfully deploy a StarChase GPS Tag onto the back of the vehicle. After tracking the vehicle for a short distance, the driver came to a stop on the side of the road. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. The driver was arrested for drunk driving and eluding.
