Bothell officer killed in shooting after chase; suspect arrested

BOTHELL, Wash. — Two officers were shot – one fatally — after a police chase Monday night in Bothell.
Around 9:40 p.m., officers tried to pull over a black sedan along westbound SR 522, but the driver did not stop. After a short chase, the car hit someone riding a Lime scooter, crashed through the center median and stopped in the 10300 block of Woodinville Drive.
The suspect then exchanged gunfire with officers and it was reported that one person ran from the car, authorities said. As more officers arrived, they found two Bothell officers had been shot. One officer was dead.
