Car crash kills former Mid-South police chief

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – A former Horn Lake, Mississippi, police chief died in a car crash on Summer Avenue Sunday night.

Monday, Southaven Alderman Charlie Hoots confirmed Darryl Whaley died Sunday around 10pm in a three-car crash on summer avenue at Trafalgar.

Whaley retired from the force two years ago.
