Boston LEO hospitalized after being struck by car during foot pursuit

BOSTON — A Boston police officer is in the hospital after being hit by a car during a foot chase Wednesday morning.
Boston Police Department officials said the injured officer call came in at 10:37 a.m., where an unidentified officer had been hit on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain.
Police said the officer was involved in a foot chase at the time of the accident. Officials said the officer had attempted to arrest a suspect — identified as 39-year-old Wilfredo Burgos of Roxbury — for active warrants.
