Police identify fleeing driver who dragged officer, fatally crashes car in Ogden

OGDEN, UT (KUTV) — Police released the name of the individual who was involved in a police chase that led to a fatal crash in Ogden on Friday night.

Ogden Police stated on Twitter that the person who died in the fatal crash was 24-year-old Jacob Michael Erebia.

According to the initial report, the driver – now identified as Erebia – was stopped by police in the area of 23rd Street and Wall Ave. in Ogden, where police made contact with him before he drove off, dragging the officer who made the stop.
