A man who led the Long Branch Police Department on a chase that ended in a crash that injured three officers was arrested earlier this month, the department said Thursday.
Michael A. Priester, 24, whose last known address was in Neptune, was arrested on March 7 and charged with eluding and conspiracy to distribute drugs, according to a release from the Long Branch Police Department.
Police were involved in a narcotics distribution investigation on Feb. 25 which then led to a pursuit that began on Morris Avenue in the city and ended about miles away after a police cruiser and unmarked detective car collided near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and South Lake Drive, police said.
