Police pursuit ends with car slamming into drive-thru

FORT DODGE, Iowa (KCCI) — A Fort Dodge business remained boarded up Thursday after a police chase ended with the suspect’s car ramming into a parked car, which then slammed into a building.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at B & L Drive-Thru, where clerk Jennifer Reiter heard what she described as an explosion.

“I actually thought something might have blown up in here until I turned around and saw the butt end of my mom’s vehicle inside the building and realized that’s what the sound was,” Reiter said. “I’ll never forget that noise.”
