Video of Tennessee police chase, crash involving murderer shows dangers of the job

LORETTO, Tenn. (WZTV) — A middle Tennessee police agency released video of a car chase and crash involving a convicted murder to help show the dangers officers face each day.

Monday marked three years since Loretto Police and several other agencies were involved in a pursuit of then accused murderer 28-year-old Benjamin Owen Young in Lawrence County.

Young was wanted for the murder of a 19-year-old and attempted murder of a 17-year-old stemming from a shooting in Tuscumbia, Ala. He’s since been convicted and sentenced to death.
