MCINTOSH COUNTY, Ga. — A Florida woman was shot and killed after allegedly hitting a Georgia State trooper with her car during a traffic stop in McIntosh County on Tuesday morning, the GBI said.
The trooper tried to pull over Sasha Ann Pishko, 22, of Clermont, around 9:20 a.m. on I-95 South near Exit 61, the GBI said in a news release. She allegedly tried to drive off during the stop, hitting the trooper with her vehicle.
The trooper fired multiple shots into her car, and she wrecked shortly afterward, the release said. Pishko was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed Wednesday. The trooper suffered minor injuries during the incident.
