3 suspects in custody after police chase, crash in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) – Police in southwest Philadelphia were on the scene of an accident involving two Darby Township police vehicles. Darby Township officers were chasing robbery suspects when the crash happened.

The crash occurred just after 8 p.m. Saturday. Multiple vehicle parts were scattered near the scene of the crash at the busy intersection of South 80th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia.

According to authorities, Darby Township police were in pursuit of a driver who was suspected in a robbery at a shopping center nearby.
