Oakland County Deputy Stops High-Speed Chase With Bump Move, Caught On Dash Cam

By: deadlinedetroit.com

Follow that Hummer! (Frame capture)

An Oakland County deputy stopped a Rochester Hills chase Saturday night, before it reached maximum velocity, by deploying a bump move worthy of Nascar. The whole thing was caught on clear, high-def dash-cam video, and the Free Press has it.

A Canton man was stopped at a light in a stolen Hummer H-3 when, the deputy shined his spotlight on the back of the vehicle, looking in vain for a license plate. When the light changed, the driver rabbited out of there, the cop in pursuit. After a couple of evasive moves, he made for the M-59 on-ramp and was accelerating when the cop came up on his inside bumper and gave him a little love tap with the cruiser. This sent the Hummer into a spin and all that was left to do was the paperwork.
