Police department in California is now testing a Tesla patrol car

FREMONT, Calif. (KRON/WAVY) — First the Fremont Police Department in California added F-150 trucks to their patrol fleet…now you might spot a Tesla.
The department announced Wednesday it will soon begin a pilot program to test a Tesla Model S 85 customized for patrol operations.
The program coincides with the city of Fremont’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent by the year 2020.
