Police Use StarChase to Tag Out of State Stolen Vehicle Involved in Commercial Burglary, Two Arrested

21-925 Police Officers observed a vehicle wanted in connection to a recent commercial burglary. Officers were also alerted that the vehicle was stolen out of a neighboring state. As they attempted a traffic stop, the suspect fled. As the vehicle accelerated away, police used their StarChase “Shadow”, a vehicle-mounted launcher to deploy a GPS tag onto the back of the fleeing vehicle. The stolen vehicle was tracked to a gas station where police were able to coordinate an apprehension safely and effectively. Two suspects were arrested for burglary, eluding, and auto theft.
