21-387 A Narcotics Unit observed a suspicious vehicle with no plates coming from a high narcotics location. Mobile surveillance was conducted on the vehicle until it stopped for gas. Upon contact, officers activated their emergency lights. The driver, who was pumping gas, fled on foot while the passenger jumped into the driver’s seat to flee in the car. Officers successfully deployed a StarChase Tag onto the back of the fleeing vehicle as it sped away. After a short foot pursuit, officers were able to apprehend the original driver.
