StarChase GPS Technology Leads to Arrest of Wanted Armed Robbery Suspect

21-951 Police officers were in pursuit of a felony vehicle that was wanted for multiple armed robberies and struck a marked police vehicle. As the car eluded, police officers used their StarChase “Shadow”, a vehicle-mounted launcher to deploy a GPS tag onto the back of the fleeing vehicle. Officers continued to track the vehicle which ended when the driver bailed from the vehicle. The driver and passenger were immediately apprehended. There were no injures to officers or the suspects.
