StarChase Handheld GPS Launcher, Guardian, Used in Auto Theft Recovery
21-918 Deputies located a stolen Hyundai SUV located at a hotel. As the stolen vehicle started to leave the hotel, a deputy deployed the Guardian, our Handheld GPS Launcher, and successfully tagged the vehicle with a GPS Tracking Tag. The driver fled the vehicle but was apprehended after a very brief foot pursuit. The suspect was charged with evading and auto theft.
