Juveniles back in custody after chase in stolen car in Clay County

MOORHEAD — Two juveniles are back in custody after a chase in a stolen car Saturday, Aug. 16, in Clay County.
At approximately 2:36 p.m. Saturday, the Moorhead Police Department received a report that two juveniles had escaped from the Northwest Regional Juvenile Detention Facility in Moorhead. A short time later, a passerby reported that he saw two young subjects matching the juveniles’ descriptions get into a Clay County fleet vehicle and leave southbound on Ninth Street North.
A Moorhead police officer located the stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was initiated, but the Moorhead officer terminated the pursuit and lost sight of the vehicle.
