Williamson County chase reached speeds of more than 120 mph

An Austin man was accused of leading Texas Department of Public Safety troopers in a chase in a stolen car from Williamson to Travis counties, reaching speeds of more than 120 mph, an affidavit said.

Jermaine Lamar Jones Jr., 20, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading detention, endangering a child and failure to stop and render aid. DPS troopers were notified at 6:19 p.m. Wednesday that a stolen Toyota Corolla, whose driver was later identified as Jones, was traveling southbound on Interstate 35 in Williamson County, the affidavit said.
