Community remembers 82-year-old woman killed in wreck that started as police chase

Marion, S.C. (WPDE) — A Marion County Magistrate Judge denied bond Thursday morning for Mychal Legette on charges of failure to stop for a blue light resulting in death, felony DUI resulting in death in a crash Wednesday that killed an 82-year-old woman.
Officials with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy came in contact with Legette, who was wanted for attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime on Bill Gause Rd in Mullins.
Officials said Legette refused to stop and fled the scene in a vehicle.
