1 man in custody after Hwy. 407 and Hwy. 403 police chase

Ontario Provincial Police say they were conducting a ride check program in Brant County around 3:30 a.m. on Friday when a vehicle they had pulled over suddenly took off just as officers were preparing to charge the driver with impaired driving.

Rather than engage in a high-speed pursuit, provincial police deployed the StarChase Pursuit Management Technology system and tracked the vehicle…

A 34-year-old man is facing charges of impaired driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
