The position of Mechanical Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading a team in designing parts, tools, or other mechanical components. They will also be responsible for spearheading the production, operation, repair, and maintenance of an evolving product line. As a supervisor, you will oversee projects and ensure engineers take full advantage of the modeling and manufacturing tools available to them. This includes working collaboratively to complete projects on time and with a high degree of quality. The position being presented is based in our corporate offices in Virginia Beach, VA and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Responsibilities

• Ensures projects follow organizational best practices for design, prototyping, and testing.
• Maintains and extends existing products, processes, design, and tooling.
• Inspects and reviews parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Manages the processing and filing of engineering documentation including engineering changes and bills of materials.
• Drives hardware-based R&D, including rapid prototyping with endurance testing.
• Works hands on with engineers in solving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Takes on projects as required based on company objectives, schedules, and timelines.
• Identifies and communicates issues effectively, working with senior teams towards resolution.

Qualifications

GPS/IOT enabled products and technologies. Other responsibilities include supporting the maintenance

Responsibilities

• Supporting a wide range of new research and development projects geared toward GPS/IOT based technologies.
• Maintaining and extending existing GPS/IOT products and services.
• Troubleshooting problems within existing circuit and electrical designs.
• Product testing and R&D, including rapid prototyping with endurance testing.
• Performs other various duties as related to the design, maintenance, and development of circuit driven GPS/IOT products and services.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical
Engineering, or related Scientific Domain required.
• 5+ years of experience with Linux on embedded hardware platforms, and Wireless/Bluetooth
protocols.
• 5+ years of experience with embedded systems design & debugging
(JTAG/UART/Oscilloscopes/Logic Analyzers)
• Strong C/C+ programming experience, preferably on MPLAB X and Arduino development
environments.
• Strong firmware development experience required used in supporting IOT/GPS enabled devices

The position of Purchasing Clerk works closely with the manufacturing and engineering team, to ensure product availability for production and R&D initiatives. The primary focus will be purchasing custom and off the shelf components to maintain sufficient inventory levels to support product supply and demand. This encompasses managing product availability, lead times and negotiating volumes and pricing with vendors. This position is based in our Virginia Beach, VA corporate office, reporting directly to the Business & HR Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, verifies, and places purchase orders based on business requirements and inventory levels.
• Resolves issues with vendors regarding product quality, RMA, replacements, and credits.
• Monitors vendor levels, availability of product, pricing, and sourcing of alternative vendors.
• Communicates with suppliers on product specification, order acknowledgements, maintains order status & ETA’s, and expedites delayed orders.
• Assist in projections in forecasting future inventory timing and requirements needs, along with other administrative task as requested.
